We live in such an amazing time in education! Our students are able to access information, create products, communicate and collaborate with their peers like never before, thanks to the increasing availability of classroom technology. The sheer number of apps and tools claiming to be the magic wand teachers need to make learning awesome can be overwhelming. Teachers may feel as though the focus of their classroom is shifting from learning to “what tech tool are we using today,” which is definitely not the point of using technology! The goal of the Illuminate: Technology Enhanced Learning MasterClass will be to show teachers how to intentionally implement technology into their classrooms to design meaningful learning experiences for their students!
This MasterClass will provide teachers with actionable strategies to encourage students to ...
engage in and explore content
create representations of their understanding
communicate their ideas and collaborate with others
think critically about the content
This MasterClass will also focus on how teachers can use technology to ...
assess student learning
motivate and encourage students
design meaningful lessons using technology
connect with other educators and reflect on their teaching experience
This is a high-energy FUN session where teachers can expect to learn how to use technology to illuminate learning!
